These Website Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the public-facing NarrativeExcellence Association website, including public pages, public articles, public descriptions, public resources, public forms, and other non-member website content.
By accessing or using the public-facing website, you agree to these Website Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you should not use the website.
These Website Terms of Use apply to general public website use. If you create an account, purchase a membership, access member-only materials, register for courses, use Vault resources, use implementation support, use AI-assisted tools, or enter the member environment, the NarrativeExcellence Association Terms of Service also apply.
1. Purpose of the Website
The public-facing NarrativeExcellence Association website provides information about the Association, its purpose, membership options, training structure, standards-centered approach, Vault resources, implementation support, AI-assisted support, certification path, and related public information.
The website is provided for informational, educational, and membership-introduction purposes.
2. No Professional Advice
Public website content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only.
NarrativeExcellence Association does not provide legal advice, engineering advice, insurance advice, real estate advice, licensing advice, inspection findings, or professional consulting through the public-facing website.
Nothing on the public-facing website should be treated as a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney, engineer, insurance professional, licensing authority, inspector, or other appropriate professional.
Members and users are responsible for consulting their own attorney or other qualified professional regarding legal compliance, inspection agreements, report language, business practices, licensing obligations, and risk-management decisions.
3. No Inspection Services
NarrativeExcellence Association does not perform inspections, supervise inspectors, issue inspection findings, review specific inspection conditions, or assume responsibility for any inspector’s reports, recommendations, client communications, business practices, or professional decisions.
Any public discussion of inspection report writing, report structure, written communication, standards, examples, or training concepts is general in nature and does not create an inspection relationship, consulting relationship, legal relationship, or professional advisory relationship.
4. Public Content and Intellectual Property
The public-facing website and its content are owned by or licensed to NarrativeExcellence Association unless otherwise stated.
This may include text, page content, graphics, logos, names, designs, standards-related language, descriptions, examples, training concepts, frameworks, layouts, downloadable materials, and other public materials.
You may view public website content for personal, informational, or evaluation purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, publish, distribute, sell, modify, scrape, compile, upload, redistribute, create derivative works from, train systems from, or use public website content to create a competing product, course, membership, standards system, certification program, template library, Vault, AI tool, or similar resource without written permission from NarrativeExcellence Association.
5. Trademarks and Association Name
NarrativeExcellence Association names, logos, marks, slogans, certification names, course names, Vault names, and related branding may not be used without written permission.
You may not use NarrativeExcellence Association branding in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, certification, partnership, membership, or affiliation unless that relationship has been authorized in writing.
6. Membership Information
The public-facing website may describe membership options, benefits, course access, Vault access, implementation support, AI-assisted tools, certification pathways, pricing, or other Association features.
Membership features, pricing, benefits, access rules, and availability may change over time.
Public descriptions of membership are informational and do not guarantee permanent access to any specific feature, resource, course, tool, Vault item, benefit, support option, or certification pathway.
If you purchase a membership, the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, membership checkout terms, and any other posted membership terms apply.
7. Certification Information
The public-facing website may describe certification-related information.
Certification is separate from membership and must be earned through the required process established by NarrativeExcellence Association.
Public descriptions of certification do not guarantee eligibility, access, approval, completion, recognition, business results, client results, legal compliance, or professional outcomes.
You may not represent yourself as certified by NarrativeExcellence Association unless you have successfully completed the required certification process and your certification is active and in good standing.
8. AI-Related Public Information
The public-facing website may describe AI-assisted tools, AI-related training, implementation support, or responsible AI use.
Any public information about AI-assisted support is general and informational.
AI-assisted tools, prompts, workflows, or examples are not substitutes for professional judgment, inspection knowledge, legal review, standards compliance, or user responsibility for final written work.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the public-facing website in a way that:
- violates any law, regulation, or third-party right;
- infringes intellectual property rights;
- attempts to copy, scrape, extract, duplicate, or bulk-download website content;
- attempts to interfere with website security or functionality;
- attempts unauthorized access to member-only areas, accounts, systems, or restricted materials;
- submits false, misleading, harmful, or unlawful information through forms;
- uploads malware, malicious code, spam, or harmful content;
- misrepresents your membership status, certification status, or affiliation with NarrativeExcellence Association;
- uses the website or its content to create a competing product, course, Vault, software tool, prompt library, template library, membership, certification, or standards system;
- harms or attempts to harm NarrativeExcellence Association, its members, its systems, its materials, or its reputation.
NarrativeExcellence Association may restrict or block access to the website if it determines that these Website Terms of Use have been violated.
10. User Submissions and Forms
The public-facing website may include forms for questions, support, contact, interest lists, feedback, or other communications.
By submitting information through a form, you represent that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to submit it.
You should not submit confidential, sensitive, regulated, client-identifying, or proprietary information through public website forms unless the form specifically requests it and you understand the risks.
NarrativeExcellence Association may use submitted information to respond to the request, provide support, evaluate interest, improve the website, maintain records, protect rights, and operate the Association.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NarrativeExcellence Association shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, exemplary, or lost-profit damages arising from or related to your use of the public-facing website or public content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, NarrativeExcellence Association’s total liability for any claim arising from public website use shall not exceed one hundred dollars ($100), or the lowest amount permitted by applicable law if a lower limitation is required.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NarrativeExcellence Association, its owners, officers, contractors, contributors, representatives, affiliates, and agents from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses arising from or related to:
